School Site Council

Castillero’s School Site Council (SSC) helps develop and approve the annual SPSA (School Plan for Student Achievement) and Budget. The council board is comprised of parents, teachers, students and the principal. Each is elected by their peers to serve as representatives for a two-year term. The school plan for state and federally funded programs is reviewed, then monitored and evaluated for results. In addition, the council analyzes the use of Supplemental and Site Flex funds to support target populations and reviews student achievement data. To gain a broader understanding of the Castillero school environment, the SSC receives reports from DELAC (District English Learners Advisory Council) and parent-run organizations (Foundation, PTSA, Sports Boosters) meetings. Once a month, the School Site Council meets on the fourth Monday at 4:30pm. If you have any questions or suggestions for the program, please email Ms.Campbell, Principal.
